BARONY OF OLDENFELD, TRIMARIS – An aspiring local politician in Tallahassee, Florida, who was also until recently a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism’s Board of Directors has tendered her resignation from that Board, citing concerning image issues that could potentially arise from her continued membership.
Baroness Æthaelflaed the Goatwrangler was quoted as saying “I’m working hard on my local campaign for Tallahassee City Council, and I do aspire to greater and higher office, so I really do feel that I need to step away from the BoD. The current image of the Board just isn’t conducive to a strong campaign, and frankly, things aren’t getting any better any time soon. So now really is the time for me to distance myself from them.”
Only one currently sitting BoD member was willing to go on the record with a statement. Duke Thorkillson Oskardottirsonn commented: “What? I don’t know what her beef is. It’s not like we’re doing anything wrong. Everything is perfectly under control. We don’t have any problems. Wait, has someone said something? Is this on the record? Hey!”
